Educational goals
The German for Education study programme’s goal is to teach such knowledge and skills that will enable the students of the programme to find a job position in the middle management within the private as well as the state sphere, especially in the areas of education, further education, free time education; or to continue in the master study programme: Education for Lower Secondary Schools or Education for Secondary Schools and thus to deepen and to conclude their teacher training. The students will achieve language skills at the level that will make their fluent communication in German possible in a spoken as well as in a written form. The students will achieve knowledge of the German language system and they will be able to describe the rules of the system. The students will gain knowledge about basic areas of psychology and pedagogy, not only from the general point of view but also in connection with German language teaching.
Profile of the graduate
The graduates of the German for Education bachelor study programme acquire knowledge concerning the theoretical background of the field and they are able to apply the knowledge into practical communicative situations. The graduates have reached the communicative language competence at the level C1 in receptive language skills and the threshold level C1 in productive language skills as defined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
