U studijních programů zaměřených na vzdělávání vybíráte vždy kombinaci dvou: hlavní (maior) a přidružený (minor). Viz podrobnější informace.
Educational goals
The bachelor study programme’s aim is to improve and to deepen the cognitive constructions about geography and its basics in the context of education; to use cooperation between teachers and students to search for possible outcomes of the field’s theoretical concepts; to use the pedagogy-psychology module as preparation for entering the master teacher training study programme (NMgr.). The graduates can potentially find their employment also as guidance counsellors at lower secondary or secondary schools due to its orientation on educational problems. The achievable aim of the study programme is deepening and increasing the knowledge of the field to the extent of obligatory (state exam) subjects. The graduates will be able to use their acquired knowledge and skills in distinguishing and creating demonstrations (examples) integrating the knowledge and skills in the areas of landscape decision-making, environmental issues, or intercultural understanding in the context of global citizenship on all levels, i.e. on a global, a regional and a local level. The graduates will be able to word problematic areas of the field due to the interdisciplinary approach and they will be taught how to solve these problems. The graduates will be able to work (according to the activities in the study plan) with information in a textual, a graphical and a cartographical form with special emphasis on their representation in the GIS basis. To achieve the above-mentioned aims, deepening of skills necessary for gaining and increasing field knowledge and its interdisciplinary overlap form the integral part of all lessons and individual work including work with foreign language sources.
Profile of the graduate
The graduates develop sufficient knowledge of the field (geography) necessary for teaching at lower secondary schools and partially also for teaching at secondary schools (see corresponding RVP=Framework Education Programme). The graduates will prove their knowledge of how to work with information with their final thesis in which they present and defend a chosen compact topic, and in which they describe findings and solutions to the problematic areas of the topic while using modern technologies for working with geography information especially maps.
